First things first, a big congrats to Eric S. on the arrival of Audrey Elise. I assume she'll live her first few months listening to a lot of the crap we all submitted here (see below). As usual, Sarah has the most picks on the lists because her tastes seem to jive with everyone else's, so you can read that as a) she is completely in tune with the Zeitgeist, or b) she's been mooching off of the rest of our collections.
In order to establish the order of the list, I used an occult formula that you'll just have to trust me on, but everyone should have at least their top three or four choices included. The top fifteen picks were chosen by more than one person (either album or band). Other than that, it's a real hodge podge, and by that I mean a really interesting collection of albums that I'm looking forward to see battling it out to the death.

ReplyDeleteAlso, complaints: This sucks, no mention of ranking, how could you not include the Psychedelic Furs, there's too much old stuff here, there's too much new stuff here, show me the math.
I don't know enough of these albums. I'm either going to expand my music collection or sit on my front porch shaking my fist at the things kids these days listen to.
ReplyDeleteI suggest telling yourself that, sure, folks seem to know their music here, but all that time listening to music could have been better spent saving nuns from flesh-eating babies riding wolves.
